I recently stayed at a spacious basement studio flat near Hyde Park for a few nights. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with an extra pillow and information about extending my stay. The room had high ceilings and a nice airy feel, with a fire-door leading to a free laundry room. I loved the convenience of the lock code for the front door and the lock-box for the room, allowing me to come and go easily. Despite being close to Queensway, street noise was minimal, and the building was generally quiet. The proximity to the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens made for pleasant walks, and communication with the host was excellent. The apartment was well-situated, with easy access to public transportation and essential kitchen equipment.

The apartment needs repair and a good lick of paint. A heads up on lack of electricity on our night would have helped us plan better, using phone torchlight not really great.
